How the calculation works
Available today − upcoming bills − remaining essentials − buffer = money left for optional spending
Example: 850.00 € − 320.00 € in bills − 180.00 € for essentials − 100.00 € buffer = 250.00 €. With 10 days until payday, that is 25.00 € a day. These are illustrative amounts.
Include each commitment once. Exclude credit limits, investments you have not sold and income that has not arrived. Do not subtract bills already reflected in today's balance. This is a cash-flow estimate; it cannot guarantee that spending is safe.
The day count includes today and excludes the day your next income becomes usable. If you need to cover spending on payday before the money arrives, select the following day. For an uncertain payday, try a later-date scenario and include the additional costs.
