A clearer plan until payday
Build a budget from a bank CSV with Deco
A bank statement helps you see what you have spent. To turn it into a budget, check the dates and categories, separate transfers from purchases, and add commitments that have not appeared on the statement yet.
Open the payday calculatorExport a useful period
Download a CSV or XLSX statement from your bank for a complete recent period. Keep the original file and note the account and date range. Deco supports statement imports; the export options and columns depend on your bank.
Review the imported transactions
Use Deco's statement import flow and review the resulting transactions and categories. Start with one account and one period so you can compare the result with the original statement. Automatic categorization still needs your judgment.
Transfers between your own accounts are not new salary or new household spending. A card purchase and its later card repayment are two records of different stages of the same spending: avoid treating both as consumption. Check overlapping statement periods for duplicate transactions before importing again.
Move from history to a payday plan
Use the statement to identify recurring bills and estimate remaining groceries and transport. Then check your current available balance: a statement's closing balance may already be out of date. Add known upcoming payments even if they have no historical transaction yet.
For example, 1,000.00 € available minus 400.00 € of upcoming bills, 200.00 € of remaining essentials and a 100.00 € buffer leaves 300.00 €. For 15 days, that is 20.00 € a day. This is an illustrative calculation, not a result automatically inferred from a file.
What this page does
This public calculator uses totals you enter; it does not upload bank files. Statement importing is available in Deco for iPhone. The signed-in browser workspace is a private preview. Live bank connections and Deco Plus subscriptions are unavailable in the current release. See Accounts & imports for statement-review guidance.
