These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Deco mobile application, website, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Deco.
Deco is a personal-finance organization and information tool. It can help you import or enter transactions, track accounts and investments, create budgets, goals, and debt plans, and view estimates and projections. Deco is not a bank, broker, lender, money transmitter, credit bureau, or licensed financial, investment, tax, or legal adviser. Deco does not hold or move your money.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding agreement to use Deco. The Service is for personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise in writing.
You may register with email and password or a supported sign-in provider. You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials and recovery information, and promptly tell usedecoapp@outlook.com about suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account except to the extent caused by Deco's failure to use reasonable security.
You can add accounts and holdings manually and import CSV or Excel statement files. Deco parses the files you choose, detects available account and currency information, and categorizes transactions. Never upload a file you are not authorized to use.
Live bank connections are not available in the current public app. You can use manual accounts and statement imports. An institution directory or connection setup preview does not mean that a live connection is available.
The following connection terms apply to an existing, test, or future connection where enabled. Deco has integrations for Stripe Financial Connections and Synci. Availability depends on the provider, institution, account type and options offered in the app. A provider coverage list is not a guarantee of access to every institution or data type. Connections marked test, sandbox or experimental are for testing only.
You choose the accounts and permissions in the provider-hosted flow before connecting. Deco uses connected account details, balances and transactions to provide your financial overview, budgets, recurring-cost detection and planning. This permission does not authorize payments, transfers or trades. We do not use connected financial data for advertising, sale, or credit, employment, housing or insurance eligibility decisions. New data permissions require a new consent flow.
Manage a connected account from Deco. Synci opens its hosted portal for connection settings and consent renewal. Disabling a connection pauses future syncing while retaining existing records. Deleting a Synci connection removes its accounts and linked imported transactions from Deco when the deletion is reconciled on the next successful sync. To revoke access or request removal of previously obtained connected data, use the provider controls and Deco’s account deletion controls, or contact usedecoapp@outlook.com. Revoking access and cancelling a paid subscription are separate actions.
Sync times describe when Deco retrieved data from its provider, not when the bank last updated its records. Refresh frequency, available history and consent renewal depend on the institution. Check important figures against your bank. Provider terms and privacy notices also apply: https://stripe.com/legal/end-users, https://stripe.com/privacy, https://synci.io/terms and https://synci.io/privacy.
Broker valuations, exchange rates, merchant details, and other enrichment may come from third-party data providers. They can be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. You remain responsible for checking all imported and displayed information against the original source.
Deco uses one protected cloud-sync model. Deco's service processes stored financial data to provide the features you request. Financial data is protected in transit with TLS/HTTPS, at rest by the storage provider, and by authenticated access and row-level security. Sensitive local caches use authenticated encryption with a key in secure device storage. Deco does not receive or store your online-banking password.
Older accounts with device-encrypted data may need a one-time security update. The update uses the existing key on an unlocked device or asks for the existing recovery code to restore the data to protected cloud sync. Those older fields remain encrypted until recovery; Deco cannot recover them if both the key and recovery code are lost.
You must not:
You retain ownership of information you submit. You give Deco a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and transmit it only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service and as described in the Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the right to provide that information.
The Service, design, software, branding, and proprietary categorization technology are owned by Deco or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, Deco grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal purposes.
The Service depends on providers including cloud hosting, authentication, analytics, payments, market data, merchant enrichment, and optional financial-account connection services. Their terms and privacy policies may also apply. Deco is not responsible for third-party services or information outside its control.
All balances, budgets, projections, estimated savings, net-worth figures, goal dates, and other outputs are informational estimates. They are not financial, investment, tax, credit, accounting, or legal advice and are not a guarantee of any outcome. Consult a qualified professional before acting on financial decisions.
Manual accounts, statement imports, broker-file imports, budgets, goals and debts are available without a paid Deco Plus subscription. Deco Plus and live bank connections are not available for purchase in the current public app. If a paid plan becomes available, its features, connection limits, billing period and final localized price will be shown before purchase. No future availability or price is guaranteed.
For any existing or future App Store subscription, payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. An auto-renewing subscription renews for the period shown at purchase unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in App Store settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are subject to applicable law and Apple's rules. The terms shown at purchase form part of these Terms.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law, Deco disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Deco does not promise uninterrupted availability or error-free, complete, or current financial information.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Deco is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, or lost data. Deco's total liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Deco in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. These limits do not apply where applicable law prohibits them.
You may stop using Deco at any time and permanently delete your account in the iPhone app under Help & Support > Delete account. If you cannot access the app, email usedecoapp@outlook.com from the address associated with your account. Instructions are available at usedeco.app/delete-account. Access to the private web preview is not required.
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, comply with law, address fraud or security risk, or enforce these Terms. The Privacy Policy explains what deletion removes and what limited information may remain.
We may update the Service and these Terms. We will provide notice of material changes as required by law, such as in the app, on the website, or by email. If the law requires fresh consent, we will ask for it. Otherwise, continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
Applicable law governs these Terms. Nothing in them removes mandatory consumer rights or the right to bring a claim in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
