Why I built Deco.

Deco is built by one person. My name is Felix Padilla Engstrom, and I'm from Scandinavia. Over the last five years I have worked as a financial consultant, as a financial analyst at Toyota, and today I am in tech at an AI company. I am a finance nerd at heart, so personal finance was the obvious place to start.

Most people were never taught how money works, and I spent those five years watching how little of finance was built for them. Good guidance has always belonged to the 1% who needed it least. I built Deco for the other 99%, with a clear picture of where you stand and practical tools to plan your next step. Manual accounts, statement imports and the planning tools are free to use.

Building Deco is the most meaningful work I have ever done, and I believe it shows in the details. Opening it should bring a sense of progress, possibility and above all financial breathing room. That feeling is exactly what I want Deco to give you.
